While the 2023 League of Legends World Championship is still underway, there are already some off-season moves brewing behind the scenes and one of those huge changes would be the mid lane position for Cloud9.
LEC Wooloo aka Brieuc Seeger is at it again, revealing the inside perspective of the LEC and LCS, and it seems like there are some big changes coming for both regions. One of the biggest North American stars, Joseph Joon "jojopyun" Pyun is likely moving to a new team, according to some sources.
While Cloud9 has been NA's hope throughout the last few years, they've failed to make it to the knockout stages each and every time, so it seems like they're looking for some home-grown talent with jojopyun in 2024.

Jojopyun has been a staple for Evil Geniuses for a while now. Even when the team completely re-worked their roster, one player stayed, and that was none other than the young mid lane prodigy. But after a disastrous 2023 season where the team didn't even qualify for Worlds, it seems like he's going to be leaving.
Jojopyun has become a household name in the North American League of Legends esports scene and it seems like he's going to be moving to the most well-known NA org – Cloud9.
LEC Wooloo and his newly formed brand sheepesports, revealed that the mid laner has sigend a deal with the famous org. The same day, jojo also posted the infamous contract signed meme on his Twitter which could mean that the deal has already gone through, though the teams haven't confirmed it yet.
According to sheepesports, even European orgs like Team Vitality and Team Heretics had been interested in acquiring the Canadian mid laner, but it seems that he has chosen to stick with the LCS and will be part of the NA region come 2024, only this time he'll be donning the light blue of C9.
This is the first big name deal that seems to have gone through this year, but there are going to be a lot more changes coming to teams, especially once the 2023 League of Legends World Championship concludes.
