EA Sports FC will surprise us with many innovations. A EURO mode for the European Football Championship 2024 in Germany could become a great spectacle in the new FIFA game. In the following, you will find out how a great EURO mode should look like to sweeten our summer. It's coming (to your) home!
30 degrees, a cool drink, your national team becomes European Champion and then you turn off the console and head to the public viewing. If that doesn't sound like a fantastic summer of football then I don't know what does.
In both 2014 and 2018, EA Sports managed to leave a lasting impression on the FIFA community with their single player tournaments in the World Cup style.
EA Sports attempted to take a new approach during the FIFA 23 release in light of the 2022 World Cup. They decided to move away from incorporating a World Cup mode in FUT (FIFA Ultimate Team).
The idea of creating special World Cup cards was attempted, which were integrated into the regular modes of FUT through promos and objectives. However, this resulted in endless, annoying games in the friendly mode, with little of the excitement that a World Cup should bring.
Perhaps EA did capture the mood well. That's why we're even more optimistic that we'll be able to celebrate a grand football festival with a completely revamped European Championship mode in the new football simulation game, EA Sports FC. Let's take a look at what it could look like.
EA Sports FC: EURO Mode In Ultimate Team And Single Player
EURO Mode In Ultimate Team
EA has already demonstrated that they are capable of simulating and incorporating major tournaments, as seen with the World Cup tournaments in Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018. In particular, the introduction of its own World Cup mode was a successful addition to Ultimate Team.
Mini-tournaments with decent rewards, dynamic special cards of all World Cup stars, and at least new stadiums with thrilling World Cup atmosphere made the hours until the next World Cup game fly by.

If we're honest, what we really want is such a EURO mode in EA Sports FC. That doesn't mean we have to eliminate the promos that FIFA 23 focused on. We envision a symbiosis between an EM mode and numerous promos related to the EM.
One initial suggestion would be to adjust the rewards for the mini-tournaments in the EM mode. Envision the possibility of acquiring a certain Road To The Final player for your FUT squad by utilizing your EURO mode squad.
EURO Mode In Single Player
After watching football together, spend a cozy gaming evening and play your own Euro tournament on the console or simply simulate tomorrow's matches. This should be easily manageable with a Euro update in the kick-off or tournament mode for single players.
It gets interesting after the first games will have been played, when live formations and forms can be added to the game with an update. At the latest, here should be a decent amount of Euro feeling on the screens.

Considering what was already captured in FIFA 18 with the World Cup in Russia, the next-gen consoles should be able to achieve an experience similar to attending a stadium in terms of atmosphere.
An important step would be to integrate the official Euro stadiums into the game. However, it remains uncertain whether it will be possible to include all the venues. For instance, the rights to the Veltins-Arena of FC Schalke 04 belong to Konami. We hope to reach an agreement because one thing is clear: the more stadiums, the more realistic the Euro mode will be.
Perhaps the career mode players can also look forward to an adaptation of the Euro. Maybe you can work as coach of a national team alongside your club coaching job and decide which players you want to take to the Euro, with the ultimate goal of holding the trophy in your hands.
EA Sports FC: Does UEFA Replace FIFA?
What makes us so optimistic that an exciting Euro mode will be introduced in EA Sports FC? Quite simply, the door for new collaborations and partnerships is wide open with EA Sports' separation from FIFA.
European competitions such as the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League have already been and continue to be integral parts.
Some leaks have now announced an increased collaboration with women's football and the UEFA Youth League in EA Sports FC. It would only be consistent if EA were to engage in discussions with UEFA regarding further future projects and also implement them.
Ironically, the blueprint for how to do it right is readily available, as seen in the past FIFA World Cup modes. EA and UEFA just need to seize the opportunity.
