This time, EA has invited players as well as icons, who will get huge upgrades and boosts to their special attributes. FUT Birthday is one of the few FIFA events that you can mark in your calendar every year. Birthdays need to be celebrated big time, and EA Sports usually does that with new special cards, a swap event with tokens, and of course also some Squad Building Challenges.
FUT Birthday In FIFA 23: Players, Icons & Release Schedule
FUT Birthday is EA Sports' way to celebrate the first release of Ultimate Team. The Canadian studio changed the way we play FIFA forever when they launched FUT on March 19 in 2009.
In FIFA 23, we're already celebrating the 14th Birthday of FUT. Happy Birthday!
We're a little late to the party this year, but obviously we won't miss the birthday celebrations of Ultimate Team. The new campaign launches on March 24, 2023. The party will last for two weeks, while the next one is coming in early April.
We can look forward to two teams of the "usual" (currently active) players and Icons. Both will receive a one-time upgrade to their overall stats and boosts to their Skill Moves and Weak Foot – each can go up to 5 stars. Here you can check out all the players:
A loading screen has revealed the first FUT Birthday players: João Félix from Chelsea FC and George Best receive some upgraded stats!
Swap Event & Token Tracker
To grind additional packs and players, EA Sports once again provides us with a new swap system. By completing SBCs, mastering challenges and objectives, or by just logging into FUT you can earn yourself some tokens, which you then may spend on some in-game rewards.

Mini Release With New Twin Upgrade System
FUT Birthday Twin Upgrades bring two versions of a player: one gets 5-Stars Weak Foot, the other 5-Stars Skill Moves. We expect a release over the weekend and will keep you posted!
