Honkai Star Rail: Top 3 DPS Units To Team Up With Sparkle
With the addition of the new support unit Sparkle, a lot of older characters will be put into the spotlight again! Let's find out who goes particularly well with Sparkle and her quite unique set of skills.
Honkai Star Rail: Understanding Sparkle's Kit
In order to understand our following top three, you have to be sure to fully understand Sparkle's kit! Here is a quick rundown of her abilities and remarked traits:

Given that Sparkle is associated with the path of The Harmony, it was obvious from the start that she was going to be a supportive character. Generally speaking, her kit is mainly focused on skill point management and buffing your hyper carry units.
As already mentioned at the beginning, Sparkle once again brings a rather new mechanic into the game, as she can increase your maximum skill points by two, stacking them up to seven in total! All you got to do for this is putting her into your team. Next to that, she will also increase your characters' Crit DMG by a percentage of her own and buff the overall DMG of your team according to how many skill points have been used.
To sum up her kit: Sparkle loves skill points, and gives you huge buffs for using them all!
But who can take advantage of such a unique set of skills?
Honkai Star Rail: Top 3 DPS Units For Sparkle
#3 Qingque
Let's start things off with a super free-to-play friendly pick: Qingque! Everyone who has been playing Honkai Star Rail since the very beginning, knows how controversial this pick was back then. Luckily over the course of the last patches, players noticed how strong Qingque is, especially for a 4-Star unit! If built correctly, she can easily keep up with other DPS units such as Seele for example!
Her biggest weakness however, is that her damage output is neatly tied to luck. With her skill "A Scoop of Moon" she draws two out of four jade tiles, increasing her next basic ATK, which can stack up to four times. The goal is to trigger her talent "Celestial Jade" by getting four of a kind with all four jade tiles. You can try as often as you want, or until your skill points are all used up!
"You're bound to draw the tile you want sooner or later, right?" – Qingque
And I guess you all know, why Sparkle would be a great teammate for Qingque by now! The option, to have two more tries to hit the four of a kind talent is huge and can quite literally decide over the outcome of the battle! Means: More skill points equals a higher chance of getting Qingque's talent stacks up! Next to that, the Crit DMG buff is also amazing for her, in order to prepare the perfect nuke to throw onto your next opponent!
#2 Seele
Next up, we have yet another Quantum unit: Seele! Seele once was the queen of Honkai Star Rail. Her damage output was unmatched and to this day, she is an incredible hyper carry. Even though HoYoverse released multiple new DPS characters, Seele will always stay strong due to her reset mechanic when killing an enemy.
To achieve said high damage numbers, in order to get another turn by one-shotting an enemy, Seele needs a ton of Crit DMG, and who provides units with a Crit DMG buff? — Exactly, Sparkle! With Sparkle's buff, Seele will be able to hit the biggest nukes in the entire game again, just like her former self in version 1.0.

On top of that, both Sparke and Seele are Quantum, which makes up for a great Quantum-only team base. Next to them, I'd suggest to also throw Silver Wolf and Fu Xuan into the same team.
#1 Dan Heng IL
The biggest winner of patch 2.1 will most definitely be Dan Heng IL! Dan Heng IL is already one of the strongest DPS units in the entire game as of right, falling just a little short of the damage queen Jingliu. However, this may change quite soon with the release of Sparkle!
Dan Heng IL is one of the most skill point hungry characters you could ever have on your team, since he enhances his next basic ATK damage by using his skill. This can be used up to three times in a row and in order to unleash his maximum potential, you want to always use up all three possible stacks!

This will drain almost all of your five skill points at once, making him quite expensive to use. With Sparkle however, this issue is much less noticeable, since you can have seven skill points in total. Next to that, Sparkle will also increase the team's damage, according to how many skill points have been used, means that is also another buff for Dan Heng IL!
All in all, the synergy between Sparkle and Dan Heng IL just can't be outmatched! As mentioned earlier, Dan Heng IL was an amazing DPS prior to Sparkle, however he had at least some issues you had to play around. With this new support, there is nothing that is stopping Dan Heng IL from taking over the meta!
Personally, I'm pretty hyped about Sparkle, even though I don’t really have most of her best teammates, but who knows what fun synergies there will be in the future of Honkai Star Rail with her kit!
