Riot isn't the only company making great League of Legends champions. The fans are also hard at work with some insane fanmade champion concepts.
League of Legends got a really talented, creative and motivated fanbase. That's why we'll show you 5 of the best champion concepts that we found, from which Riot can still learn something. We tried to get a good mixture of champions, so we won't talk about five full tanks, for example. However, it was really rough to decide, which champion deserves to be mentioned. Please have mercy!
Also keep in mind that some champion concepts are also more mature than others. But at the end of the day, the idea behind it is the most important part. So let's start right off with our number 5!
5. Nasira
While we don't have much information about Nasira and her abilities, we still got some lore from the concept artist Thomas Randby:
Character concept, an original champion for League of Legends! Born in the small settlement of Mu’raat just south of Central Shurima, Nasira lived her life amidst the sand-drowned ruins of her people’s past. Though she grew up told to ignore the remnants of the old ways, she constantly marveled at the mystery and intrigue of the forgotten glory of the Shuriman empire. When she grew older, she ran away from home to make her own way, and eventually found herself under the command of the warlord Iha Ziharo. Though Nasira began as little more than a hired grunt, she worked her way up the ranks and into Iha’s good graces. This proved too little to slate her thirst for power, and despite her good fortune, she coveted a higher position in the tribe of warriors. She’d worked beside Sivir for many years, and when the time arose for Sivir to usurp Iha, Nasira was the first to urge her on. Nasira called for Iha’s death at the end of the mutiny, but Sivir allowed her to die in the desert instead.
Not only that, she seems like a really great addition for Shurima lorewise, she would be the first champion battling with a real whip. And no Nilah, some water is not a whip, I don't care what you think. Similar to Thresh, Nasira could be a melee champ with a high ranged ability, slowing or rooting her enemies with her weapon. Maybe she's even got some type of poison, since she is meant to be the Viper of the Sands. Who knows?
Her appearance reminds a lot of classic Shuriman champs with cyan crystals, golden accessories and a sun disk as a necklace. In my eyes, she could literally be Sivir's sister!
4. Raska
Raska is an extremely unique champion concept made by Albert Bednarski. He is a blind support Yordle that once was a joyful traveller. Fooled by the Void Rapture in Icathia, he lost his eyesight. However, he still writes down everything he experiences on his journeys.
Albert put a lot of work in this champ concept and with it polished up his abilities even with animations, so make sure to check out Raska and his whole champion concept here if you're interested in more details!
The short version, though, is that Raska is fighting his enemies with void ink and his feather. He is an enchanter with a stacking mechanic on his Passive, a stun on his Q, a heal on his W and a blink on his E. He would be the first enchanter with a blink in his kit, which would be fascinating to see how this works out on Summoner's Rift.
By using his R he loses control to the Watchers, granting vision in a nearby area and gaining 3 giant void slingshots, making Raska to an offensive enchanter that can finish off his opponents, who are trying to get away from his team. Really cool concept! Good job Albert!
3. Mica And Ivaara
The next champion got a swapping mechanic with its ult. By pressing R you will change from Mica to Ivaara or the other way around. This would be the first champion that includes two whole champions in one kit, unlike Kindred, for example, where you only control the Lamb and only use the Wolf for its abilities. This transforming hybrid champ was made by the professional concept artist Sora Prakash.
Meanwhile, the Darkin', Ivaara, looks dangerous and menacing, Mica on the other hand looks rather gentle and battles with a rod instead of a blade.
In Mica's "mode", the champion behaves like a support caster with poke, heal and shields. However, Ivaara brings a cool twist to the champion design, turning a support into a more offensive champ. By swapping your form, you can also create nice combos by combining the abilities of the two different versions.

2. Mistree
Next in line, we got Mistree, the Forgotten Biologist, a champion concept made by the freelance artist Mark Vaughn. And she for real is a mystery! I know, I'm so funny... Forgotten by everyone, this Yordle already turned into a ghost and strikes her opponents with some 'fearsome' spells. Okay, I'll stop.
Mistree seems to be a mage and looks like she could be played in the mid-lane. Her Q-ability "Cursed Bolt" sends out a spooky blue little blast that would probably act as her main damage tool.
With her W "Posses Subject" she can literally possess enemy champions for a certain duration, kind of like Yuumi attaching to her allies, but just the opposite.
With "Call the Leyline", her E, she can create some sort of triangle shaped cage upon her enemies, probably CC-ing her opponents that touch her walls, similar to Veigar's cage.
With "Unspoken Agony", her ultimate ability, Mistree starts screaming, creating a huge cone in front of her and probably dealing tons of damage. Imagine Cassio's ult scream, but 5 times as hard. Holy moly.

1. Elliot
Now, let's dive into the good stuff – meet Elliot, the Swarm Herder, crafted by the talented concept artist Leon Ho. Taking a page from the eerie vibes of Souichi , a character by the renowned horror manga illustrator Junji Ito, Elliot is a meticulously designed support hailing from the Shadow Isles.
Leon's concept art for Elliot is downright captivating, featuring neat details like a candle perched on his head, a little centipede companion around his neck, a ghostly landing net, and a substantial bottle filled with radiant insects already in his possession. And here's the kicker – no other champion wields a landing net as a weapon, making Elliot a refreshing addition to the Rift.
Beyond the final concept, Leon has gone above and beyond, creating various iterations and in-game elements. Picture this: glowing bugs that offer vision, akin to Bard chimes, and can be collected to upgrade Elliot's abilities. Now that's innovation!
Let's break down his potential moves. For his Q, envision Elliot swinging his spectral net, possibly rooting or damaging foes. The surrounding smoke hints at a nifty near-sight effect within the circle.
As for his W, Riot tends to sprinkle utility on this spell, so Elliot might grant shields, heal allies in a designated area, and perhaps dish out damage equivalent to the healing bestowed upon his pals.
Elliot's E unleashes two hefty bugs toward enemies, likely causing some form of crowd control – think stunning or knocking up foes on impact.
And last but not least, his R. Elliot takes center stage, flask held high, channeling some essence to silence an enemy. Picture a toxic cloud formed from the bugs he's gathered, growing more potent with each glowing insect collected.
Elliot, the Swarm Herder, isn't just another support – he's a game-changer, bringing a unique toolkit and a touch of eerie charm to the League of Legends landscape. I would love to see this innovative concept come to life on the Rift!

However, these are just champion concepts, after all. So, shout-outs to the incredible artists, being so talented and creating such stunning art.
