Nickmercs Claims Gambling Is "Part Of The Contract" With Kick

Like many other big creators, Nickmercs decided to sign a deal with Kick, but his contract seems a little odd, as he claims he “has” to do gambling streams as a part of his contract.

It was recently revealed, that Kick acquired another heavy hitter for their streaming platform, with Nickmercs joining their roster of content creators. But apparently, something about Nick's deal is a little different, as he claims that he "has" to stream gambling because of his contract. Others like xQc, who also signed a deal with Kick, claim that Nick deliberately chose a gambling-contract to get the most buck for his bang!

Who is Nickmercs? Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff, born on November 21, 1990, is a competitive streamer associated with FaZe Clan. Some of his most notable achievements are related to Fortnite where he held several world records, but he also broadcasts and competes in other shooters like Warzone, or Apex. One of his most interesting quirks is, that he performs in tournaments using a controller instead of the conventional keyboard and mouse setup.

Kick has been giving out big non-exclusive deals to some of the biggest streamers out there, including the likes of xQc, Amouranth or Adin Ross. Now, Nickmercs joined them, but was met with a bit of backlash after claiming that his contract included doing gambling streams.

One of the biggest people calling him out for this statement was xQc, who stated that "if Nick has a f*cking clause that says that he's gotta gamble, he put it there". This would imply, that Nick was actively going for that gambling contract to probably make more money, and is now making excuses for this by explaining that him gambling on stream is "part of the contract".

Apparently, Nick has a separate contract with Stake that probably pays him a little extra for gambling.

Considering that Santamaria, who's Head of Strategic Partnerships at Kick, explains that there "is no gamba clause in the Kick contract", this would make a lot of sense.
