Great news for fans of Only Murders in the Building: the third season may have ended with a cliffhanger, but season 4 has already been confirmed by Hulu. Here's when to expect the release, a handy recap of season 3 and any other news you need to know about.
The investigating continues on! Oliver, Charles and Mable are not done yet with solving various crimes, even those that are outside of the Arconia as of late. Season 3 taught fans that Broadway can be just as dangerous as the podcasters homestead and, even worse, that nobody is safe.
As it would have been a crime in itself to not return after the major cliffhanger that was the finale of season 3, the vigilante trio has been confirmed to return for a fourth season to crack the new case with personal stakes. Until then, get your Only Murders in the Building hoodie and solve our own mystery: when will season 4 hit the screen?
Only Murders in the Building Season 4 | Release Date Estimation
Confirmation of season 4 is obviously a huge relief. Most of us have been disappointed in the past by having our favorite show canceled out of the blue. Never getting to know how a series was supposed to end is a form of torture that sadly became all too familiar.

Only Murders in the Building is not as cruel in that way, though. For three years straight, fans consistently got a new season each year around the same time. So it's not that far fetched to speculate that season 4 will release at the end of summer 2024. And if you need a neat little recap before season 4 hits, we've got you!
Recap: Only Murders in the Building Season 3
Season 3 of Only Murders in the Building shook things up a bit. Instead of a murder in the Arconia building, we got a dead Broadway actor and his case to solve. Annoyingly, only Mable seemed interested in actually getting to the bottom of the murder of Ben, as Oliver was busy with his Broadway show and Charles got caught up in his wayward romance.
After more sub-plots that I care to count, the murderer confesses: it's been Donna the whole time! But... she wasn't actually. She's been covering for her son Cliff. Cliff, who killed Ben because his mother had poisoned Ben before for... a bad performance on stage. And Ben came to realize what Donna had done, which had Cliff panicking and killing Ben. Cliff and Donna obviously come from a healthy family and know how to solve conflicts. Not.
When Cliff finally confesses, he wants to take the easy way out and take his own life but is stopped by Donna. They're both arrested, the day is saved and Charles, Mable and Oliver can finally celebrate for cracking another case.
But: the higher they get, the harder they fall. Their party is cut short when Sazz Pataki, Charles' friend and stunt double, is the next murder victim. So we already know what's to come in season 4: sweet, sweet revenge (in a totally legal way, of course).
The trio needs to get their heads straight, though: season 3 proved that distractions were like poison for Mable, Oliver and Charles. With everyone being so caught up in their own business, only Mable really cared for the dead actor. They need to get their heads back in the game if they want to solve Sazz's murder.
Obviously, we'll keep you updated about when exactly they'll start solving their newest case.
