The acclaimed PS5 game Returnal will come to PC. The port of the brilliant shooter has been rumored for a long time, now the PC version has finally been confirmed.
Returnal really blew up when it first released. The setting was so original, and the gameplay loop was super compelling. But there was a problem: Returnal launched exclusively on PS5, and most of the sci-fi/horror nerds out there couldn't get a chance to play. Thankfully, that will change soon, as the release date of the Returnal PC port has finally been announced.
Returnal Is Coming To PC – Release Date Revealed
Returnal will come to PC on February 15, 2023. The port has originally been revealed during the Game Awards 2022 after many leaks and rumors. The date has been confirmed via a cool new trailer, showcasing the PC-exclusive benefits coming to this version of the game.
It looks like you'll need a beefy PC for this port, so think about upgrading your PC , if you need to upgrade. Anyway, here's the newest trailer:
The Open Secret Of The Returnal PC Port
Before the official announcements, several hints towards a PC port have been spotted online. The Steam Database (which is basically a live archive of all products on the platform) showed a new game in May called "Oregon", which was believed to be a code name for Returnal. The product was tagged with keywords that heavily suggest it's Returnal, such as "rogue-like", "sci-fi", and "female protagonist" and the phrase "Tower of Sisyphus", which is a blatant reference to one of Returnal's DLC locations.
Alexander Battaglia from Digital Foundry (@Dachsjaeger on Twitter) highlighted the fact, that we were able to see first footage of Returnal being run on PC at the Game Developers Conference. See his tweet and the whole GDC presentation below:
Returnal's presentation from GDC on its VFX and particle work is really cool - but I enjoy the bonus it has of once again confirming the PC version. Debug, readout!

We also saw some leaked footage from the game. One posted video shows the PC-specific menu of the game. At this point, it's really hard to understand why the game hasn't been announced yet, but there you go.
