Is Stray Coming To PC?

The PlayStation revolution has begun on PC, as more exclusive games from the PS4 and PS5 come to Steam. We’ve had a fantastic selection so far, with games like Death Stranding and Horizon Zero Dawn being made playable on PC. But there’s another PlayStation exclusive on the way, and it’s a unique title.

BlueTwelve Studios is developing Stray, an upcoming action-adventure game for the PS4 and PS5. It’s slated to launch later this year as a digital-exclusive game; however, physical editions will also be available through limited retailers like Annapurna Interactive and Iam8Bit.

Stray follows an adventurous cat throughout a dystopian cyberpunk city controlled by robotic androids. But these androids aren’t your enemy, as they will assist in taking you back home by providing clues and information on the city. It’s noted that throughout the campaign, we will solve puzzles and use parkour to traverse the dystopian setting of Stray.

Along our journey in Stray, you’ll notice a character named B-12. He’s an integral part of the storyline, as B-12 can converse with the robotic androids and acquire pivotal information. Even better, this automated intelligence drone will develop electronic powers to disable various enemies in the campaign.

And the best part? If anyone is subscribed to PS+ Extra or Premium, they’ll be able to download Stray for free. However, players unsubscribed to this service will be required to purchase Stray directly.

When Is Stray Coming To The PC?

Stray is launching on July 19, 2022. It will be released for the PlayStation4, PlayStation5, and PC. You can preorder the game today with 10% off from Steam.

Annapurna Interactive, the publishers of Stray, hasn’t identified any special editions coming to the PC. Therefore, you’ll be required to purchase the standard edition of this game. It will cost USD 26.99/CAD 36.99/GPB 21.99.

It’s noted that these prices are subjected to change based on sale agreements & various other circumstances.

Which PC Features Will Stray Have?

We won’t know the official features that will launch with Stray – PC Edition. However, we’re confident these features will be incorporated into Stray.

• PlayStation Plus Cloud Storage

The introduction of RTX Lighting into Stray will advance the dystopian setting tenfold, as everything will feel more realistic and expansive. However, we’re more interested in cloud storage support for PlayStation Plus, as this would mean our save files for Stray could transfer between the PS4/PS5 or PC.

Is Stray Coming To The Steam Deck?

It’s guaranteed that the Steam Deck will be able to run Stray, as the visual requirements for this game are fairly low. In fact, anyone with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 TI or higher will be capable of running this game. Considering that the Steam Deck has a more powerful GPU than this, it’s clear that Stray will be playable on Valve’s handheld console.

Fair warning, you’ll need to give up 10 GB of the Steam Deck’s memory to install Stray. Fortunately, that amount of memory is minimal compared to other games like Portkey Game’s Hogwarts Legacy.
