The live events at the end of a Fortnite season are always extremely exciting! But what will happen at the end of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1? We have all the details for you.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 ends on March 8, which is why we have to bid farewell to the current season with a mix of sadness and excitement. However, a new season awaits us with a new theme apparently related to Greek mythology and exciting new POIs!
But as always, players wonder: Will there be a live event at the end of the season? And we're here to answer that question.
Fortnite Live Event: Destroy The Chains To Open Pandora's Box
Indeed, there will be a live event, but unlike other live events, it won't take place at the end of the season, but it's being initiated right now!
Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey has found files depicting a huge glowing hand emerging from the ground, connected with chains to "Pandora's Box." According to him, the community is supposed to work together to break the chains so that the box flies down to Earth and opens.
However, since opening Pandora's Box signifies doom in Greek mythology, it won't spell anything good for the islanders...

Signs of this live event can already be heard and seen on the island! Currently, earthquakes are happening hourly in Fortnite, causing fissures! And according to iFireMonkey, tornadoes are also set to return soon.

This will happen for the next 43 hours, with the Titan Hand spawning on Earthquake #46, which should be ~11 AM ET on Thursday.

According to Greek mythology, Pandora was the first woman ever created in the world. She was fashioned from clay by Zeus as a punishment for humanity.
The young Titan Prometheus had created humans out of clay on Earth in the likeness of the gods and had cunningly managed to steal the fire of the gods as well. This angered Zeus greatly, prompting him to decide to punish Prometheus and the humans.
So one day, Zeus gave Pandora a mysterious box. Pandora was instructed to pass this box on to all humans but was forbidden from opening it herself.
However, after a short time, Pandora couldn't resist and opened the box herself. Inside the box was all the evil one could imagine! Diseases, death, and misery spread throughout humanity. Zeus had exacted his revenge.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 Live Event: Start Date and Time
Earthquakes are currently occurring hourly. At first, the players thought that the Titan's hand was supposed to appear after earthquake No. 46, which would have been on February 29 at 4 AM ET.
However, nothing further happened, and the fans were left disappointed, prompting an Epic Games developer to speak out on Twitter:
"The crater is very small. I think it needs to get bigger before something interesting happens."

With this hint, we can assume that the mini-live event will not happen before next week. Presumably, the hand will emerge from the ground one day before the start of the season, on March 7.
An hour before the hand emerges from the ground, some VFX will play while you're in the battle bus to practically prepare you an hour before the hand emerges for the event.
However, what will happen after the ominous Pandora's Box opens is still unknown. But we'll definitely keep you updated.
