The Brazilian Streamer Baiano has hosted his Tournament CBolão over the last week and there were some interesting matches happening. The Tournament featured some LAS pro players, high ELO solo queue legends and even a North American team that had quite the amusing game. Here's everything you need to know about the tournament.
This CBolão was the sixth Brazilian tournament hosted by the streamer baiano. It was a charity event and they donated over 50,000 dollars towards a cancer treatment hospital. The tournament consisted of 8 teams that were either made out of pro players or high ELO content creators/players.
League of Legends Tournament Features High Class Teams
For this CBolão there were 8 teams competing.
Team Near Airport
| Team Full Clear
| Team 100K
| Team OS Primos
|
Team Pain Ignis
| Team Eternos Protagonistas
| Team Peitin
| Team LEC
|
Some of these teams are just completely made out of pro players and esports personal like OS Primos and Near Airport, while teams like Eternos Protagonistas are made out of high ELO one tricks. While you would expect some teams to perform better than others in this based of their team composition and champion variety, the games were surprisingly competitive.
NA's Journey
Now one team had a very special route this time around in CBolão and while it was of course a Fun Tournament it isn't throwing good light on the league. That team was Team NA or Near Airport. The team around ex-TSM star jungler Spica managed to win against team Full Clear, only then to lose the next two games versus Eternos Protagonistas and 100K. Losing to a team containing only pro players? Fair enough, but nobody expected this seasoned roster of NA players to lose against one tricks. It was all in good spirits, though, as the NA team tweeted about the interaction after the games.

In the end it's all about the winners though, and this time it was the LEC team. You might remember the names Robo and Tinowns because they actually played at the World Champion 2023. Granted, they didn't make it far, placing at 19, but a worlds' attendance is a worlds' attendance.
As this was a charity event, there were over 250,000 Brazilian Real donated towards a greater cause. The stream peaked at over 180,000 viewers during the show match of Brazil's most popular teams 2015's paiN Gaming and 2016's INTZ. Next to the Brazilian players and organizations, the American streamer and ex-pro player Christian “IWDominate” Rivera co-streamed the event to the American community and even donated 2000 dollars himself.
After the finals, Baiano posted on Twitter that the CBolão 2024 will be the biggest project the league community has ever seen. It will most likely also be linked to a greater cause. In general, these events are great because they fill the downtime between the national leagues and provide some fun content to the scene.
