That's right, the "Refer a Friend" is back, allowing veteran Fortnite players (or anyone interested) to invite friends and family to try out the Battle Royale and earn exclusive rewards in return.
This time, you get the Mushroom Shinobi Set as a reward, which has some cool cosmetics ready for you. There are a few things you need to be aware of in order to receive these rewards. But don't worry, that's what we're here for.
How To Earn The Refer a Friend Cosmetics In Fortnite
You earn rewards by playing Fortnite with new players or players who have played Fortnite for less than two hours, 30 days prior to the start of the event. To add a friend through the program, follow these simple steps:
- Sign in with your Epic Games account on the Refer a Friend Website
- Invite friends to play Fortnite through the website
- Complete in-game quests together
- Earn rewards together
Whether you're an active, returning, or new player, open the Friends tab in the sidebar of the lobby to access the Reactivation Round section.

Fortnite Refer a Friend: Rewards & Schedule
Don't feel pressured to immediately force everyone you know to play Fortnite with you, as the event runs until January 9, 2024, at 11:59 AM ET.

Quests do not have to be completed with the same friends. So you can form groups with different friends as you like.
