The time has finally come: Dragon Ball is in Fortnite! And the second big anime crossover brought us not only absolutely nice skins, but also new skills and a cup where you can win free Dragon Ball Cosmetics! We've got everything you need to know about the Tournament of Power for you.
Tournament of Power: Schedule & Format
The Tournament of Power takes place on Thursday, August 18, 2022. It is a duo tournament played in Fortnite's normal Battle Royale mode. However, in the tournament there will also be the "Kamehameha" and the "Nimbus Cloud" (Kintoun) as a special power! In each game, the Kamehameha will fall from the sky as deliveries courtesy of Capsule Corp - grab the Kamehameha and blast devastating energy beams at anyone in your way, or summon the Nimbus Cloud (Kintoun) to fly over the island .
You and your mate can play up to ten matches within a three-hour window in your region. So grab a mate and train, because it's about to start!
Tournament of Power: Registration
To participate in the Tournament of Power, you must be at least Division 1 and have 2FA enabled. Simply select the cup from the in-game Fortnite Competitive tab at the start of the match and queue with your mate.
Tournament of Power: Points System
One point is awarded for each normal elimination. An additional point is also awarded for each elimination with Kamehameha! The placement points otherwise look like this:
- Epic Victory: 25 points
- 2nd place: 22 points
- 3rd place: 20 points
- 4th place: 18 points
- 5th place: 17 points
- 6th place: 16 points
- 7th place: 15 points
- 8th place: 14 points
- 9th place: 13 points
- 10th place: 12 points
- 11th place: 11 points
- 12th place: 10 points
- 13th place: 9 points
- 14th place: 8 points
- 15th place: 7 points
- 16th place: 6 points
- 17th place: 5 points
- 18th – 19th place: 4 points
- 20th – 21st place: 3 points
- 22nd – 23rd place: 2 points
- 24th – 25th place: 1 point
Tournament of Power: Prizes
Unfortunately, there is no skin to win this time. But hey, that should at least make it easier to earn the prizes. You can find an overview of them here.
