The partnership between EA Sports and the Spanish La Liga, also known as Primera División, is now official. From the start of the 2023/24 season, the league will be rebranded as "La Liga EA Sports FC", as the FIFA publisher takes on the role of the league's official sponsor.
With EA officially concluding the FIFA series and shifting their focus to their new product EA Sports FC, significant changes are on the horizon for the Canadian publishers, not only in the gaming industry but also beyond.
Having released a new FIFA installment annually for 30 years, EA is now directing their attention towards the new project. And in a strategic move, the publisher has acquired the naming rights for the top Spanish football leagues.
La Liga EA Sports & La Liga Hypermotion: EA Pays More Than $150 Million
Starting from the 2023/24 season, the top league of Spain, formerly known as La Liga Santander, will be rebranded as La Liga EA Sports, while the second division will be named La Liga Hypermotion. Hypermotion is a technology that uses machine learning and motion capture to improve the realism and fluidity of player movements in the game.
This move marks a major achievement for EA, as they continue their endeavors free from the costly partnership with the global football association FIFA, redirecting the saved funds into marketing efforts. The financial benefits of this arrangement will undoubtedly have a significant impact on Spain's premier football league.

La Liga And EA Reveal First EA Sports FC Screenshot
This is not unfamiliar territory for EA, as they also serve as the title sponsor and partner of the Supercoppa Italiana. As it's now named, the EA Sports Supercup began with 2022/23 season. Additionally, EA has secured a partnership with La Liga F, one of the best female leagues in the world!
But what does this collaboration mean for the game? Well, we have already speculated that the iconic Camp Nou stadium could make a comeback in EA FC 24. Furthermore, the partnership ensures that all Spanish stadiums will be included in the game, which is truly exciting!
But there's even more to look forward to. The first screenshot of EA FC 24 has surfaced on social media following the presentation. While it may not be mind-blowing, we can see that new statistics are being introduced into the game. If this collaboration between the leagues and EA results in a more realistic and authentic football experience, we can only celebrate this evolution!
