Fortnite has once again teamed up with Sony to host the Fortnite PlayStation Cup for players in December 2023! Exclusive to PS4 and PS5, this tournament gives you the chance to win a share of the $250.100 total prize pool! Here's everything you need to know about the event, including the start date and how to participate.

It's that time again! Fortnite has teamed up with Sony to announce a new PlayStation Cup exclusively for PlayStation players. Get practicing because the best of the best can win a share of the whopping $250.100 prize pool! We have all the details for you!

When Does The December Fortnite PlayStation Cup Take Place?

From December 8 you can participate in two qualifying cup in both Battle Royale and Zero Build. These competitions will then culminate in the Fortnite PlayStation Cup Finals on January 13 and 14! Here is the exact schedule:

Battle Royale

  • Qualifier 1: December 9, 2023
  • Qualifier 2: December 16, 2023
  • Finals: January 14, 2024

Zero Build

  • Qualifier 1: December 8, 2023
  • Qualifier 2: December 15, 2023
  • Finals: January 13, 2024

Fortnite PlayStation Cup Participation

Only eligible players on PS4 systems or PS5 consoles can participate in the Fortnite PlayStation Cup. The tournament will be played in solo format. To start the cup, simply select the PlayStation Cup in Fortnite and join the first round. PlayStation Cup will require you to be at least Bronze in Ranked in the corresponding Battle Royale or Zero Build track.

The 50 best players (in each region) from each of these cups can earn an entry to the Fortnite PlayStation Cup Finals, which will take place on January 13 and 14.

Point Distribution For The Fortnite PlayStation Cup

In the qualifying rounds, one point is awarded for each elimination. In the finals, there are two points for each elimination. The placement points for all competitions are as follows:

  • Victory Royale: 30 points
  • 2nd: 25 points
  • 3rd: 22 points
  • 4th: 20 points
  • 5th: 19 points
  • 6th: 17 points
  • 7th: 16 points
  • 8th: 15 points
  • 9th: 14 points
  • 10th: 13 points
  • 11th - 15th: 11 points
  • 16th - 20th: 9 points
  • 21st - 25th: 7 points
  • 26th - 30th: 5 points
  • 31st - 35th: 4 points
  • 36th - 40th: 3 points
  • 41st - 50th: 2 points
  • 51st - 75th: 1 point

In addition, there are the following Mid Match Objectives that you can use to earn points as well:

  • Team secures a Forecast Tower: 3 points
  • Team captures the Rift Loot Island POI: 15 points

Players who earn at least 25 points in either the first or second Battle Royale Qualifier Cup will earn the Tough Chuggus Loading Screen.
