Just like in previous years, at the EarlyGame Awards 2024, we're once again asking ourselves who the most impressive esports teams of the year are, all in support of Laureus Sport for Good Germany.
Esports is really making waves these days, especially when it comes to earnings. Trust me, I know, I had to do research for this category after all.
Before we introduce our candidates, we want to remind you that the awards were primarily created for a good cause, in favor of Laureus Sport for Good Germany. So be generous (if you can) and donate whatever you can.
We are once again grateful for the support of our friends at Euronics and our main partner Memory PC, who, along with Shoutouts, make these awards happen. And for those looking for a gaming PC or any electronic goodies, you'll definitely find them with our awesome partners.
We don't want to forget our friends from DFS (Deutsche Flugsicherung) either, who have joined us as partners this year. They are helping us make this year's awards bigger (and more enjoyable) than ever before!
For those more interested in winning than shopping: In our donation campaign, not only can you do good and perhaps clear your "sins" (yes, we know what you've been up to, you rascals), but you can also win fantastic prizes.
For every donation of 5 euros, you'll get a ticket for our raffle. So with 10 euros, you're in the pot twice, and with 50 bucks, you're in ten times. Of course, you can also transfer money to me personally (just kidding – everything here is done properly).
We Also Have Awesome Prizes For You This Year!
You can win a bunch of cool stuff, but the main prize is something to behold! This year, thanks to our main partner we Memory PC, we not only have one but three powerful gaming PCs up for grabs!
And even if you don't snag one of these beauties, participating is worthwhile for other fantastic prizes, including lots of headsets, mice, keyboards, & more!
While we won't publicly announce the winner (that would be a privacy nightmare), if you're lucky, you might find a package containing a gaming PC worth nearly $3,000 at your doorstep! We will raffle the prizes in the weeks following the awards and will get in touch with the winners by March 8, 2024.
Now it's your turn. Cast your vote for the Esports Team of the Year! Share the poll and encourage your community to join in. Because, like in previous years, the EarlyGame Awards are a community award. Our jury has only introduced the top 10 candidates. You can find the selection criteria below.
EarlyGame Awards In Favor Of Laureus Sport For Good 2024
The voting for the Esports Team of the Year 2023 is now open, and there can only be one winner.
By the way, if you just want to vote and, for whatever reason, skip the donation, you don't have to leave empty-handed.
For those who votes, we also have a little extra surprise! DeskYou is providing some mousepads that we will raffle off among all the people who have voted! Who can resist a cool custom mousepad, right?
Esports Team Of The Year – Criteria
If you want to know why we chose these 10 candidates, here's a short list with descriptions and, of course, the best pictures. By the way, the order is random, so don't think about it too much.
If you're interested, we've also set some rules for selecting candidates:
- We focus on titles and other achievements this year.
- Milestones in German Esports
- Celebrating international success
- We tried to ensure a wide variety of games so that we don't, for example, have five LoL teams (but there still must be success, of course. 10th place in Farming Simulator doesn't cut it)
The EarlyGame Awards 2024: Live on YouTube on February 25, 2024!

Esports Team Of The Year – Nominees
G2 Gozen (Valorant Women)
We're starting with a bangin' team that was with us last year as well. And when we say we choose teams for international success, milestones in German Esports, and titles, G2 Gozen simply can't be left out this year!
G2's female Valorant team cleaned up nicely this year, too: Two first-place finishes in international tournaments and 3rd place at the World Championship.
2023 was a year of success for G2's women, and we definitely want to acknowledge possibly the best female Esports team from Germany.
G2 (CS:GO Team)
This squad is just filled with absolute monsters (in the game, of course). They won the Intel Extreme Master Tournaments in 2023, bagging a total of $800K.
I think we don't need to say much more at this point. Welcome to our nominations!
RBLZ (Red Bull Leipzig Esports Team)
Red Bull Leipzig is back in action and has assembled what is probably the strongest FIFA team in Germany with their Rebelz. They not only have Umut, the FIFA eWorld Cup 2022 winner, but also rblz_lena, who won the SheSportsCup 2023 with FabienneXII and MariePhoenix.
The team brings together two of the most successful German FIFA Esports players and one of the biggest young talents, Anders Vejrgang.
Vejrgang is only 17 years old and is already making waves at the top. He won the Goat Cup and even beat Umut and Musti on his way to victory!
Red Bull Leipzig's Rebelz ain't no joke!
FOKUS (Valorant)
Next up, we have FOKUS' Valorant team. This year, they snagged 2nd place in several major tournaments, and that's four times in total.
Just as we predicted last year, we're nominating them again due to their impressive success.
Their performance is pretty stunning, especially considering that FOKUS Clan just made the team last year!
Eintracht Spandau (LoL)
Although Eintracht Spandau was founded just a year ago, they secured 2nd place in the Prime League Cup 2023. For a team that hasn't been around for long, that's pretty impressive.
Last year, we called them the Upcoming Esports Team of the Year. This year, they've solidified their place. So, we've decided to nominate them once again.
SK Gaming (Brawl Stars)
SK Gaming's Brawl Stars team has made a significant contribution to the success of the German Esports scene this year. They achieved two remarkable successes: 1st place in the Queso Cup and 3rd place in the Worlds.
Mobile gaming is on the rise, and SK Gaming is right at the forefront.
MOUZ (CS:GO Team)
MOUZ has been nominated by us again this year (there isn't such a huge selection in the German esports Olympus). And for a good reason: They were crowned winners of certain tournaments twice this year, once 1st place at the ESL Pro League Season 18 and another 1st place at the Thunderpick World Championship 2023: EU.
We think this is definitely nomination-worthy because, against the competition MOUZ faced this year, their achievements are truly insane.
Acend (PUBG)
Our next nominees are none other than the PUBG team Acend, the DACH champions this year. But as if that was not enough, no. They also secured 2nd place in the Global Series!
In our eyes, a truly worthy team that should not go unnoticed. So, we're nominating them and vote diligently for these guys!
Acend (Valorant)
Alongside the PUBG team, Acend's Valorant team gave it their all this year and is also nominated by us. They secured 1st place twice and 3rd place once in major tournaments.
This should definitely not go unseen!
BIG (CS:GO Team)
Here comes BIG, our third CS:GO team in the awards. Quite a lot of achievements for CS:GO Esports in the German scene, I must say! BIG clinched the victory in the CCT Online Finals, walking away with a proud prize pool of $100K.
It seems like BIG only participates in top-notch tournaments, where they usually snag considerable titles. That trend continued this year, earning them this well-deserved nomination. A fitting final team on our list!
Voting is free, and if you want your favorite creator to take home the highly coveted trophy, just leave your vote quickly. Additionally, if you can spare it, consider making a small donation to Laureus Sport for Good. By doing so, you'll have a chance to win fantastic prizes, such as one of three amazing gaming PCs from Memory PC, with a total value of over €5000!
