3. Rek'Sai
The Void Burrower
W-who even is this champ, you may ask? — Well, it's Rek'Sai!
A lot of time has passed since we have seen this void lady being meta, but Riot finally managed to change her up quite a bit. Rek'Sai has been in a weird state as long as I can remember, and players never really seemed to like her, let alone picking her in any of their ranked games.
In patch 14.4 however, Rek'Sai is finally getting some much-needed love from Riot and all of a sudden, many players are quite interested in her! The most important change is definitely how her damage output shifted away from her R – Void Rush back to her E – Furious Bite, which got much better AD scaling.
This change alone will also lead to a stabilization of Rek'Sai's item build variations. Her former Lethality self will now disappear completely, and instead we will probably only see her build as a Bruiser! However, only time will tell, if Rek'Sai finally found her way back into the Rift for good with these changes.
2. Bel'Veth
The Empress Of The Void
And just like Rek'Sai, another void lady can be found in our second place, being Bel'Veth! Although this time it's not a change that affects the champion directly, but her favorite items that got buffed quite a lot.
Bel'Veth wasn't in a particular bad spot before, she was actually pretty decent already, but with two of her favorite items buffed, being Terminus and Stridebreaker, Bel'Veth will be an absolute monster on the Rift again! Especially with the implementation of the Void Grubs for the new season, many players are still tying her out and abuse the absolutely insane push method with her voidling army.
1. Briar
The Restrained Hunger
It's Briar's first time in our top three, and she really climbed up the ladder in the best way possible. There are just so many things right now, that make her an amazing pick in the jungle!
Starting off, all the new Lethality items are still incredibly strong and Briar herself is really unimpressed by the Ghostblade nerfs in 14.3, since she is melee anyway. Her clear is not as fast as Lillia's for example, however still fast enough to compete!
Despite being super strong already, another of her favorite items got now buffed in patch 14.4, being Black Cleaver, making her Bruiser item build even stronger now as well!
Briar's true win condition lies in her ganking, or to be precise, in her Ultimate! She is, next to Nocturne, one of the few champions who does not really care about the new jungle layout. If she hits you with her R – Certain Death, it’s quite literally your death, since she will chase you don't without showing any mercy!

The A-Tier is still considered excellent. These are champions that you can easily pick and still win games. They're the ones you'll want to choose when the S-Tier are banned. So if you want to climb solo queue, then these are some picks you'll want to pick up this patch.

There are a bunch of pretty nasty picks in the A-Tier this time around! Especially Evelynn is an amazing pick in lower elo, since no one remembers that she is even in the game! The B-Tier consists of champions that are good, but won't be as strong as either the A or S Tier — obviously. These are picks you can select in specific match ups, but we suggest making sure you master the champion before picking them in Ranked.
